WKN
The WKN (Wertpapierkennnummer or German Securities Identification Number) is a unique six-character alphanumeric code used to identify a security in Germany. The WKN has largely been superseded by the ISIN (International Securities Identification Number), in which it is incorporated as part of the German ISIN structure. Nevertheless, the WKN is still used in parallel, especially within Germany.
